Description
Escape to the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite National Park on a LGBTQIA+ adventure tour. Over three days, immerse yourself in nature, hiking fern-laden trails, standing on cliffs overlooking glacier-carved mountains, and breathing in the fresh, earthy air. Led by experienced guides, this tour offers a supportive community and the flexibility to choose your accommodations, making it perfect for both seasoned campers and first-timers. Day 1: San Francisco to Yosemite National Park Depart San Francisco and pass by the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Alcatraz Island as you head east on the Bay Bridge. Taste a piece of California’s rich agricultural hub as you pass through the Central Valley, famous for specialty fruits and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cherries, and strawberries. Once you reach the park, dine among giants at a grove of Giant Sequoia trees. Take in the meditative views next to trees that measure up to 300 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and are older than one thousand years. Climb the winding route 4,500 feet above sea level to the gorgeous vista at Tunnel View, which overlooks the expanse of Yosemite Valley and offers spectacular views looking east towards El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Falls. Depending on timing, stop off at Yosemite Village or take a quick excursion down a beginner hike before settling into camp. Once at camp, your guide will hand out camping gear and show you the local amenities. Make the ultimate s’mores as your group shares drinks and stories around the campfire. Day 2: Yosemite High Country Start the day with a quick breakfast and prepare a brown bag lunch. Head off in the van to start your full day in Yosemite High Country. Explore the park's picturesque lakes, hike to mountain summits that overlook lush greenery, and pass through serene meadows. If you're not too wiped out by the day's adventures, swap stories and share drinks around the campfire with your new friends. Day 3: Yosemite Valley to San Francisco Make a quick breakfast, prepare another brown bag lunch, and make sure all the camping gear is put away before heading into Yosemite Valley. Choose your own adventure in Yosemite Valley. Hike to a waterfall, rent a bicycle to cruise around the valley floor, check out the visitor’s center, museum, and Ansel Adams Gallery, or relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River. Regroup for one final group activity, a visit to the El Capitan Meadow to watch the daredevil rock climbers conquering the largest granite monolith in North America. After a full day of exploring, make your way back to the San Francisco Hilton, arriving in the city around 8:30 PM – 9 PM.Includes
